OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT IELTS
This is the second installment to our general discussion about IELTS, or the International English Language Testing System (check out the first part, WHAT IS IELTS?), responding to the common questions that we receive through texts and emails.
Where exactly will I be taking the test?
The tests are often scheduled on Saturdays, and are normally held in different hotels in your nearest city. In Makati, the venues are usually at Dusit Thani, Mandarin Oriental, Shangrila Makati and Intercon Manila. The organizers, British Council Philippines and IDP Education Phils , will advise you of the actual venue on the day you register for your test. Their office address and contact numbers are :

The Test Fee is now at P/8,640.00 , to be paid upon registration at the British Council or at IDP Philippines. Some review centers are accredited to receive payments too. If for some reason you cannot take the test, contact your test center as soon as possible.
How soon can I find out my results?
Your test results will be sent to your home address or your educational institute within 2 weeks of taking the test. Your overall band score will be given on the Test Report Form, as will a breakdown of your scores in the four separate sections.
If I find my score unsatisfactory, when can I retake the test?
You may repeat the test whenever and as often as you wish. However, some studies suggest that 3 months may be the minimum amount of time that average learners need to improve their band score. During these 3 months, the candidates must continue their efforts to improve their English through class-study or self-study.
